Leadership is more than making decisions. It is the responsibility to ensure every decision is ethical, thoughtfully planned, fiscally sustainable, and worthy of the public's trust.
Every decision our council makes shapes Lincoln's future. Residents supported growth with the expectation that it would strengthen our finances and expand opportunity. Today, our community faces higher utility costs, a proposed sales tax measure, and questions about the long-term sustainability of city services
For two decades, building successful businesses has taught me that lasting success requires vision, disciplined planning, fiscal accountability, and the willingness to make difficult decisions before they become crises. That same philosophy should guide local government.
My commitment to Lincoln began long before this campaign through my service as Chair of the Parks and Recreation Committee. I will come prepared, study the facts, ask the difficult questions, anticipate tomorrow’s challenges, respect the public process, and make decisions with integrity and accountability in order to strengthen public trust and ensure today’s decisions remain sustainable for future generations.
I believe good stewardship means permanent commitments are supported by sustainable, long-term funding: not assuming tomorrow will solve today’s challenges.

Lincoln’s future is connected to the future of Placer County and the surrounding region. Transportation, housing, water, economic development, public safety, infrastructure, and workforce opportunities don’t stop at city limits. Lincoln should have a strong voice at the regional table and build productive partnerships with neighboring cities, Placer County, regional agencies, and business and community organizations. Strong partnerships can help communities share resources, pursue funding opportunities, coordinate infrastructure, and compete together for investment and jobs.
Taxpayer dollars should be treated with the same care we expect from our own household or business finances. I will advocate for thoughtful budgeting, clear priorities, long-term financial planning and accountability for how public resources are spent. Before asking residents for additional revenue, I believe the city should first examine how existing resources are being used, identify opportunities for greater efficiency, and consider the long-term financial consequences of major decisions. The goal isn’t simply to balance today’s budget. It’s to build a financially sustainable city that can continue providing essential services without placing unnecessary burdens on taxpayers.
A strong local economy creates opportunity for residents and can strengthen the city’s financial position. I want Lincoln to be competitive in attracting quality employers, supporting existing businesses, and encouraging investment that creates lasting economic value. That means working to create a business environment where companies can start, grow, and succeed. Economic development should also be approached regionally. By working with neighboring communities, Placer County, and regional business and economic development organizations, Lincoln can pursue opportunities that benefit our residents and broaden our economic base.
Growth brings opportunity, but growth without adequate planning can create challenges for the residents who already call Lincoln home. I believe development should be accompanied by thoughtful planning for roads, water, public safety, parks, businesses, and other infrastructure. As Lincoln grows, we need to make sure our infrastructure and services keep pace with that growth. My goal is a Lincoln that grows intentionally: welcoming new residents and investment while protecting the quality of life that brought people here in the first place.
Public safety and essential city services are fundamental responsibilities of local government. I will support responsible investment in police, fire, emergency services, infrastructure, and the other core services that residents rely on every day. Fiscal responsibility doesn’t mean simply spending less. It means making sure limited resources are directed toward the services and investments that matter most to the community.
Residents deserve to understand how decisions are made and how those decisions affect their community. I believe transparency means more than making information available. It means clearly communicating the facts, explaining the reasoning behind important decisions, and being honest about the challenges and tradeoffs involved. As a council member, I will ask questions, seek the information needed to make informed decisions and communicate those decisions openly with the community. I believe accountability starts with elected officials taking ownership of the decisions they make and continues by measuring the results. When we commit public resources to a program, project, or investment, we have a responsibility to evaluate whether it delivered what was promised.
